Acadle vs OnlineCourseHost.com vs Academy LMS: Which AppSumo Course Platform Fits You?
Three AppSumo lifetime deals for hosting courses, compared on price, limits, setup effort and fit, using the deal pages as the source.

Choosing a course platform is one of the stickier decisions a creator makes. Once your students, videos and payment links live somewhere, moving is painful. So if you are looking at a lifetime deal, it is worth comparing the options carefully.
This comparison covers three course platforms that were live on AppSumo on 20 October 2026: Acadle, OnlineCourseHost.com and Academy LMS. It is based on the deal pages and vendor information. We have not used these platforms ourselves, so treat this as a framework for your own evaluation rather than a verdict.

The short version
- Acadle is a hosted, white-label academy. The limits are on users, storage and team members.
- OnlineCourseHost.com is a hosted course site. The limits are on courses and sites, while students are listed as unlimited.
- Academy LMS is a WordPress plugin. The limit is on the number of sites, and you handle hosting yourself.
The right choice mostly depends on two questions: do you want to manage WordPress, and is your growth going to come from more students or more courses?

Limits: where each one pinches
Acadle
The deal page lists ranges of 200 to 800 users, 10 to 40 GB of storage and 2 to 8 team members, scaling with the number of codes. Courses are listed as unlimited.
That means Acadle's ceiling is your student count. If you run small, high-touch cohorts, the user cap may never be an issue. If you plan to sell a low-priced course to thousands of people, work out how many codes you would need and whether that still beats a subscription.
OnlineCourseHost.com
The deal page lists 3 to 12 courses and 1 to 4 sites or domains depending on codes. Students, storage and admins are listed as unlimited.
This is the opposite trade-off to Acadle. You can grow your audience without hitting a cap, but you are limited in how many courses you publish. A creator with one flagship course and a couple of mini-courses fits comfortably. A creator who wants to publish a new short course every month will hit the ceiling.
Academy LMS
Limits are set by the number of WordPress sites you can activate. Because it runs on your own hosting, things like storage and bandwidth depend on your hosting plan rather than the plugin.
Features listed on the deal pages
Acadle: AI course generator, unlimited courses, certificates, quizzes, SSO, plus Stripe, Zapier and HubSpot integrations. The white-label angle is the main pitch.
OnlineCourseHost.com: AI course website builder, video hosting, SCORM support and community. Payments through Stripe and PayPal.
Academy LMS: AI course generation, payments through StoreEngine or WooCommerce, multi-instructor revenue share, SCORM, drip content and community.
A few notes on what these mean in practice:
- SCORM matters if you sell to companies or reuse training content made in authoring tools. OnlineCourseHost.com and Academy LMS list it. We did not see it listed for Acadle in our research.
- Multi-instructor revenue share (Academy LMS) is useful if you plan to host other teachers on your platform.
- SSO (Acadle) is useful if you want students to log in with an existing account system.
- AI course generation appears on all three. Treat it as a drafting aid, not a replacement for your own teaching.
Setup effort
This is where the platforms differ most.
Acadle and OnlineCourseHost.com are hosted. You sign up, configure your branding, upload content and connect payments. The vendor handles servers and updates.
Academy LMS needs a WordPress site. You pay for hosting separately, install the plugin, configure payments through WooCommerce or StoreEngine, and keep WordPress, themes and plugins updated. That gives you more control and can work out cheaper at scale, but it also means more things can break, and you are the one fixing them.
If you have never maintained a WordPress site, be honest with yourself about whether you want that job.
India-specific considerations
- Payments. OnlineCourseHost.com lists Stripe and PayPal. Acadle lists a Stripe integration. Academy LMS uses WooCommerce or StoreEngine, and WooCommerce generally supports a wide range of payment plugins, but you should confirm that a Razorpay or UPI option works with Academy LMS checkout before relying on it. For the hosted platforms, ask the vendor directly whether Indian gateways are supported.
- USD pricing. All three are priced in dollars. Your bank may add a markup for international card payments, and you should check what tax appears at checkout.
- Language. If you teach in Hindi, check whether the student-facing interface can be translated or relabelled.
Which one fits which creator?
Consider Acadle if you want a branded academy, your student numbers are predictable, and you value features like SSO and certificates.
Consider OnlineCourseHost.com if you want a hosted platform where student growth is not capped, and you plan to sell a small number of courses.
Consider Academy LMS if you are comfortable with WordPress, want full control, or build course sites for clients.
Who should skip all three
If you have not sold a single course yet, you may not need a dedicated platform. Many creators validate an idea with a simple landing page, a payment link and a private community before choosing an LMS. You can revisit these deals later, and you will make a better decision once you know your numbers.

FAQ
Which platform is cheapest overall? Academy LMS has the lowest entry price at $59 for one site at the time of writing, but you also pay for WordPress hosting. Compare the total yearly cost, not just the deal price.
Can I move my course from one platform to another later? Usually you can re-upload videos and content, but student accounts, progress data and payment subscriptions are harder to move. Ask each vendor about export options before you commit.
What happens if the company shuts down? On AppSumo, lifetime means the life of the product. If the product is discontinued, your access ends. Keep your own copies of all course videos and materials.
Is there a refund if I change my mind? At the time of writing, AppSumo deals carry a 60-day refund window. Build a test course early so you can decide inside that period.
